AI apparel engineer · Bengaluru

From spec to shipment.

Give Nia a buyer's spec sheet. She drafts the pattern, grades every size, shows a 3D sample in your fabric, lays the marker for the factory's own table and sends cut-ready files. Then she follows the order until it ships.

In pilot with a leading Indian brand for men's and women's wear.

How it works

One record follows the style from the spec to the carton.

The pattern master stays in charge. Nia's patterns open in your own CAD for any change, and she learns those changes for the next style.

  1. 01Spec

Reads the spec and checks it

Excel, PDF, or a phone photo of the size chart. Nia reads every point of measure and flags mistakes before anything is cut.

    .xlsxPDFphotohouse rules
Nia's size table: 24 of 24 points within tolerance in sizes XS, S and M
  2. 02Pattern

Drafts the pattern and grades it

She drafts each style herself, from your measurements, then grades it to every size and measures every size again against your tolerances.

Graded shirt pattern pieces: front, back, sleeve, collar, cuffs and pocket, nested in every size
  3. 033D

    Shows a 3D sample first

A 3D sample in your own fabric print, so the style is approved before the first physical sample round.

  4. 04Marker

Lays the marker and plans the cut

Planned for the factory's table length, the fabric width that actually arrived and its shrinkage. 1,000 shirts become 6 lays for an 8 m table.

    89.1% on a shirt run1.38 m a shirt
Cut plan for the factory table: five lays, 40 plies each, with lengths and efficiency
  5. 05Factory

Sends files the machines already read

Pattern packs for Richpeace, Gerber and Lectra, plus plotter and cutter files. Every version is numbered. Old versions are marked DO NOT CUT on the factory's phone.

Factory home on a phone: files from clients with an old version marked do not cut, and production by stage
  6. 06Shipment

    Follows production every day

Cut, stitched, washed, finished, packed. Supervisors speak the numbers in Hindi or English, or photograph the register. Approvals, holds, inspections and packing lists stay with the order.

Founder

“After 25 years in apparel and 6 at Oracle, I built Nia.”

Sumit Varma · Founder, Raipid

Sumit has worked in apparel for more than 25 years, and spent 6 years building enterprise software at Oracle in the USA.

He built Nia so that a brand's design team and its factory work from the same record: the same spec, the same pattern version, the same numbers. Nia runs on one office PC with local AI, so there is no per-seat CAD licence and designs stay in India.

Raipid is based in Bengaluru.
